The Bell Inn stands on one of Peabody’s most storied properties. Long before it became the boutique inn guests know today, the site was home to the original Bell Tavern, a colonial gathering place dating back to the 1700s. Over the centuries, the property evolved alongside the city itself, eventually becoming the grand nineteenth-century mansion that still stands today. After years of vacancy, the building was thoughtfully restored and reopened in 2023 as The Bell Inn & Tavern, a destination where guests can stay, dine, celebrate, and experience a meaningful piece of North Shore history in a completely new way.
